A new Avril

After releasing hit debut "Complicated", Canadian rockster Avril Lavigne shot to fame and stardom. Girls around the worl (Mei included) fell for her anti-trendy non-feminine look and the punk-skater-rock-chick look was born. And so, the non-trend became a trend. And don't they always happen that way, or what?

Now fast-forward a few years later and Avril is married and has cleaned up her act. (I remember one Xmas in Malacca when Mei wore a pretty black and silver striped dress and Scott said she looked normal) She has also signed on with Ford Agency and while she is on the short side, there's nothing wrong with a model only doing print jobs. Not everyone was meant to do catwalk.

I think she looks nice in this shoot. Obviously, the whole Ozzie Clark look of the 1960's was being channelled but then again, beatnik is still in. And its better than the 80s anyway. I'm loving the close-up of Avril, check out the gorgeous bit of bling on her wrist!
