If the Slipper does not Fit...

In my previous post, I waxed lyrical about these shoes that I saw in a magazine. Well, they finally arrived in the shop. And they didn't look as nice as they did in the ad. Well, they were lit up with studio lights and were worn by a model with legs 10 feet long and beautifully bronzed to boot (no pun intended). In any case, the smallest size the store ordered was 6. And even those were sold out. I'm a very small 5. As in, I can only just barely fit a 5 without the shoe falling off.

I did order the other tan wedges. So I may not buy them after all, but at least I'll be able to try them and if they don't fit, no loss. I can get my deposit back and Zu will sell them to someone else. If they do fit, I'll have lovely new shoes that will go with nearly everything in my wardrobe. And I'll also have $100 less in my bank account.

There are also some rather gorgeous dresses that I've been seeing. I have no idea what I want more. Shoes, clothes, accessories...Scott says I have too many bags. I don't actually think I do.

Carrie says - "Hello Lover"

Of course, Carrie could only mean Carrie Bradshaw and 'lover' could only mean shoes. And speaking of shoes, I saw the most beatiful pair of sandals in a recent copy of Cosmopolitan. In shades of bronze and brown with a lovely heel. I loved them so much I hurried over the the shop in question the very next day. Alas, they hadn't arrived yet. And as of yesterday, they still haven't. I left my name but part of me feels that they may forget to call me. *sigh*

Then I saw another gorgeous pair in the very same shop. This time, a lovely neutral tan wedge. It would go with everything and would be perfect for the summer. So far, I've been able to keep myself from going back. Well, 24 hours is good. Of course, I think by tomorrow, I'll have to check it out.

Its not like I'm obsessed or anything. But its so hard for me to buy shoes here. I mean really hard. The smallest size is a 5. And I'm only barely a 5. Most of the time, the shops don't even have anymore in that size. And if they do still stock them, they're too big! Its truly tragic. Poor poor me.

I want to be able to say that if I am able to get these 2 pairs of shoes, I'll not buy anymore shoes over the summer. But will I really stick to that? Maybe, given how difficult it is for me to find sizes here. But if I do find the ones I love and fit? *sigh* Decisions, decision...
